Satan's Age-Old Plan

(Letter to an Inquirer)

"Oh that thou wouldest hearken to my Commandments! Then would thy peace be as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea!" Isaiah 48:18.

Dear Friend,

I don't intend to become involved in a sterile discussion about who really understands the Bible, or which religion, if any, is based on scriptural truth. One thing is clear however; since the very beginning, and right down to our own day, Satan has been doing his darnedest to wean mankind away from YHVH's Commandments, has been trying at every opportunity to depreciate those commandments and present them in a negative light. The first attempt, fatally successful, was made by the NAHASH-SERPENT in Eden (Genesis 3:1-22) who tricked the woman into thinking that nothing is to be gained by observing YHVH's laws. Another example is the case of Cain who was told that obedience to YHVH's instructions brings salvation (Genesis 3,7) but decided he knew better and as a result was cursed (ibid., 11). And then we have Korah who tried to undermine Moses' authority and met with a terrible end (Numbers 16: 1-35). Moses warns us about a false prophet who would try to teach the people commandments NOT of YHVH! (Deuteronomy 18:20-22). Daniel speaks of a "Beast" who would wear out YHVH's Saints, would change the feasts and laws of YHVH! (Daniel 7:25). The ancient Egyptian, Greek, and Roman idolaters mocked Israel for observing such "barbarous superstitions" as circumcision and the Sabbath. And then we are told that YHVH's Law worketh wrath, causeth transgression (Romans 4:15); is weak (ibid. 8:3); is not capable of imparting righteousness (Galatians 2:21); is unnecessary (Romans 3:28); causes death (Romans 7:16) etc. etc. So we get the definite impression that all these persons and opinions are part of the same satanic effort to undermine YHVH's Law as His Plan of Salvation for Mankind. Objectively speaking, the so-called "Old" Testament (called "old" to belittle its relevancy! Don't be deceived; it is neither "old" nor a testament!) seems to contradict all these newfangled ideas. We are told that that: a) the sin offerings are going to be re-instituted in YHVH's future Kingdom (see Ezekiel chapters 43, 44, 45, 46 etc.); b) YHVH's Law is NOT too hard to fulfil (Deuteronomy 30:11-14); YHVH's Law is going to be re-emphasized by the future new Covenant (Jeremiah 31:33-34); Israel's eventual complete deliverance depends upon the observance of this Law! (Deuteronomy 30:9-10). And there are many more similar Scriptures. You must admit that if Law were unnecessary, we wouldn't need constitutions, law courts, policemen etc. So why not YHVH's Eternal Law, delivered at Sinai for all men, all times? Now I ask you, which religious body has thrown out the Law, called it a curse? And which people have been murdered and persecuted for the sake of the same Law? Who were the inquisitors and who were the burnt at the stake? Wont you join YHVH's team today?
